Ultramarine is a collaborative film I made alongside a group of 9 other animators for my senior capstone. The story illustrates an artist trying to break through art block with the help of her meddlesome cat who seems to see more than she does ;) I worked as an animator, 3D modeler, lighting artist, compositor and editor. Check out the culmination of my BFA in 3D Animation below!

Garden Shot

In this shot, I worked with a human and non - human character, both of which I had to do a little extra work to understand. Working with constraints, fabric, hair and a cat was particularly challenging but I was so excited to explore new territory.

Gallery Shot

In this shot, our main character is staring up at the culmination of her art career and realizing that she needed a change. While the movements of the character are fairly minimal, what was challenging in this shot was the camera movement as we were trying to imitate a vertigo zoom also known as a Hitchcock zoom.

Breakfast Rescue is a collaborative film made during my time at the Savannah College of Art and Design. I explored roles in animation, modeling, lighting and compositing as well as leadership roles as a design lead. Check out a shot I am particularly proud of as well as the final film!

Rocket Shot

For this shot, I worked with both an object and a character, requiring an understanding of gravity and the perceived weight of the toy rocket as it was dropped. I also recorded reference footage to study the mechanics of the character’s foot and arm movements to ensure realistic motion.
